The scope of JIBER encompasses a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research that examines the application of Islamic principles to business and economic activities. The journal welcomes original contributions that explore, but are not limited to, the following areas:

2. TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS ACCEPTED

3. LANGUAGE AND STYLE

• Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, standard British, American English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally copy-edited before submission.

• Style: The manuscript should be concise, logical, and well-structured. Avoid unnecessary jargon. Use a neutral, academic tone throughout.

• Spelling: Choose either British English (e.g., colour, organise) or American English (e.g., color, organize) and remain consistent throughout.

4. GENERAL FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

All manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format using the following specifications:

• Paper Size: A4 (210 mm × 297 mm).

• Margins: Top, bottom, left, and right margins of 2.5 cm (1 inch).

• Font: Book Antiqua, 12-point size.

• Line Spacing: 1.12 lines throughout (excluding abstract and references).

• Paragraphs: Justified alignment. Indent the first line of each paragraph by 1.27 cm (0.5 inches).

• Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively, starting from the title page.

• Headings: Use a hierarchical numbering system (e.g., 1., 1.1, 1.1.1). Level 1 headings: Bold, Title Case. Level 2 headings: Bold and Italic, Sentence case. Level 3 headings: Italic, Sentence case.

5. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

A. Title Page (separate file for double-blind review)

The title page must be submitted as a separate document to maintain anonymity. It must include:

• Manuscript Title: Concise, informative, and no more than 20 words.

• Full Author Names: Complete first name(s), middle initial(s), and last name(s) of all authors.

• Author Affiliations: Full institutional affiliation (department, university/ institution, city, country) for each author.

• ORCID iD: Each author is encouraged to provide their ORCID iD.

• Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate the author responsible for all correspondence, including full mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

• Conflict of Interest Declaration: A statement confirming that there are no conflicts of interest or disclosing any that exist.

• Funding Information: Acknowledgment of funding sources, if any, including grant numbers.

B. Main Manuscript (anonymous file)

The main manuscript must exclude all author-identifying information. It should be organized as follows:

1. Title
Repeat the manuscript title at the top of the main document.

2. Abstract
The abstract must be a single paragraph of 150 to 250 words. It should clearly state the:

• Background/Purpose: What is the research problem or objective?

• Methodology: How was the research conducted (e.g., sample, instruments, analysis)?

• Findings: What are the main results or conclusions?

• Originality/Value: What is the unique contribution of the study?

No citations or abbreviations should appear in the abstract.

3. Keywords
Provide 3 to 5 keywords immediately after the abstract, arranged in alphabetical order, separated by commas. Keywords should reflect the core content of the article (e.g., Islamic banking, Maqasid al-Shariah, financial inclusion, sustainability).

4. Introduction
Introduce the research topic, provide the necessary background, identify the research gap or problem, state the research objectives and questions, and explain the significance of the study. The introduction must end with a clear statement of the paper's structure.

Review the relevant theoretical and empirical literature. Discuss existing debates and establish the theoretical or conceptual framework that underpins the study. For Islamic economics papers, ensure that classical Islamic texts (Quran, Hadith, Fiqh) and contemporary scholarly works are appropriately cited and integrated.

5. Method
Provide a clear, detailed description of the research design, data collection methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, archival data), sample size and selection, measurement instruments, and data analysis techniques (e.g., SEM, regression, thematic analysis). The methodology must be sufficiently detailed to allow replication.

6. Results and Discussion
Present the findings objectively and systematically, without interpretation. Use tables and figures where appropriate to enhance clarity. Ensure that all data are accurately reported.

Interpret the findings in light of the research objectives and theoretical framework. Compare and contrast the results with previous studies. Discuss the implications of the findings for theory, practice, and policy, particularly within the Islamic economic and business context.

7. Conclusion
Summarize the key findings, clearly state the contributions of the study, acknowledge the limitations, and provide concrete recommendations for future research, practitioners, and policymakers.

8. Acknowledgment (Optional)
Acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that provided support for the research but do not qualify as authors. Ensure this section does not compromise the double-blind review (if needed, this can be added after acceptance).

9. References
List all cited references in the required citation style (see Section 6).

12. Appendices (if any)
Include supplementary materials such as questionnaires, interview protocols, or additional data tables.

6. CITATION AND REFERENCING STYLE

JIBER follows the APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) referencing style. Authors must strictly adhere to this format.

• Figures: Place figures within the text. Number them consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2). Provide a clear caption below the figure. Ensure all images are high resolution (minimum 300 dpi for images, 600 dpi for line art).

• All tables and figures must be cited in the main text and accompanied by an explanation of their relevance.

8. ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

All submissions must comply with JIBER's Publication Ethics Policy, which follows COPE guidelines. Authors must ensure:

• Originality: The manuscript is entirely original and has not been published elsewhere.

• Plagiarism: The manuscript is screened for plagiarism (using Turnitin). The acceptable similarity index is below 20% (excluding bibliography).

• Authorship: All listed authors have made substantial intellectual contributions and have approved the final version. AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) cannot be listed as co-authors. Their use (e.g., for editing) must be disclosed in the acknowledgment.

• Research Ethics: Studies involving human participants must have received institutional ethics committee approval, and informed consent must have been obtained. For animal studies, adherence to welfare guidelines is mandatory.

• Conflict of Interest: All financial, personal, or institutional conflicts must be disclosed on the title page.

9. SUBMISSION PROCESS

10. PUBLICATION FEES (ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE – APC)

JIBER is a fully open-access journal. To cover editorial, production, and digital preservation costs, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to accepted manuscripts.
